Merrill wrote this excellent exegetical commentary via CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform in 2014.  It’s a great resource for serious students of Old Testament studies and in it Dr. Merrill demonstrates his competency and faithfulness to the Biblical Texts.  Dr. Merrill works through different views on certain passages before presenting his own. A must have addition to any library of Haggai texts.
